ResourceCo’s multifaceted expansion into Queensland is picking up pace this month!♻ Our emerging resource recovery facility in Brisbane (a glimpse of which is featured in this post) is modelled on our nation-leading commercial & industrial and construction & demolition waste recycling operations in SA and NSW. With the capability to divert ~250,000 tonnes of material from landfill per annum, this facility will significantly enhance the landscape of Queensland’s resource recovery industry later this year. ♻ Our soil reuse and recycling operations are also growing; from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and across to Toowoomba, our years of experience in providing trusted, efficient, and reliable soil reuse services is gaining momentum with high-profile projects recently secured. FY24/25 has started with a surge for our teams in the Sunshine State with exciting stories to share in the coming months.#recycling #circulareconomy #queendland #brisbane #sustainability

“Grab it before the water does - sounds simple enough. But the most practical solution is to pick up the trash before it enters the urban stormwater systems and waterways. This means that part of the trash solution involves getting communities engaged in reducing the amount of trash coming from our stormwater systems and ensuring that cities are accountable for doing their part.”https://lnkd.in/gHgU5Esq#stormwater #trashcapture #bmphood #civilengineering #bestmanagementproducts

As the fastest growing region in the UK, we recycle a lot of water – in fact, over a billion litres of sewage every day! But as the population continues to grow and our sewer networks are processing more human and domestic waste, we’re always looking for more natural solutions. Treatment wetlands are a key part of our vision for the future, following the successful launch of our flagship wetland in Ingoldisthorpe, Norfolk in 2019. Delivered in partnership with NORFOLK RIVERS TRUST, it was the first of its kind in England. Five years on, we took our CEO Mark Thurston to see how much has changed. Now operating as a natural treatment plant for millions of litres of water, these wetlands have become a beautiful habitat and a flourishing haven for wildlife 🌱☀ Currently under review, our 2025-2030 business plan, proposes a record investment of £4 billion to enhance the environment, which includes building more treatment wetlands across our region.
